3D Scanning, CAD Design & Custom Prototypes.
From physical part to working prototype. Based in Utah.
Scanning. Design. Prototyping.
3D Scanning & Reverse Engineering
Bring physical geometry into a digital workflow. We use scan references and measurements to develop CAD models for redesign, part reproduction, and fit studies.
FDM Printing & Functional Prototypes
Test fit, form, and function with custom FDM printed components. Explore enclosures, mounting brackets, jigs, fixtures, and short production runs.
Detailed Resin
Printing
Create detailed prototypes and small components, including vent parts, buttons, trim pieces, and mounting cups. Material and process are chosen for the intended use.
Built around your project.
Xtronix is a Utah-based product development business connecting 3D scanning, CAD design, prototyping, and additive manufacturing. Start with an existing component, a sketch, or a digital file. We will define the scope and practical next step together.
From scan to finished part.
01 Scan · 02 Design · 03 Print · 04 Finish
Capture the geometry. Develop the CAD model. Print the prototype. Install threaded inserts and hardware.
Questions before you start?
-
Send an existing part, a sketch, measurements, photos, videos, or a digital model. We accept common CAD and print files, including STEP, STL, and 3MF; contact us about other formats. A clear idea of what the part needs to do helps us scope the work. For business projects, we can arrange a Google Meet or Zoom call.
-
Yes. Customers can bring or ship parts to us for scanning, redesign, or reproduction. For a broken part, reassemble or glue the pieces together if practical, or send the pieces with photos and an explanation of the intended shape and function. Repairing or reconstructing missing geometry involves additional work, which we will identify and include in the quote.
-
Yes. We welcome one-off prototypes, individual replacement parts, and small production runs. We do not currently have a general minimum order quantity or minimum charge. Each project is quoted for its scope.
-
FDM options include PLA, PETG, ASA, ABS, and engineering materials, including suitable glass- and carbon-fiber-filled filaments. We also offer resin printing, with the resin selected for the project. Finishing can include sanding, painting, gloss or matte coatings, threaded inserts, and additional hardware. Material availability, compatibility, and finishing requirements are confirmed in your quote.
-
Quotes are free. Pricing depends on design or reconstruction work, material, quantity, printing, and finishing. Any required deposit and payment schedule will be confirmed in your quote before work begins.
-
We aim to respond to quote requests within 24–48 hours. Production time depends on the project scope, material, quantity, and finishing, and will be discussed with your quote. Rush requests are welcome; availability and any additional cost are confirmed before work starts.
-
Yes. You will approve the design before printing begins. We will agree on the scope and any revision requirements during quoting. Changes requested after approval may affect the price or timeline.
-
Yes. We offer shipping, local pickup, and drop-off by arrangement. You can also ship an existing part to us for scanning or design work. Contact us for delivery instructions and to confirm shipping costs or a local handoff before sending or bringing a part.
-
Yes. We take your project and business information seriously. We can arrange an NDA before you share project details or files.
-
Yes. Editable CAD files can be included when requested. Tell us which files and formats you need so the deliverables and any related cost can be agreed in your quote.
